Welcome to Sixth and Seventh Grade!!!
My name is Mr. Gundel. I was born and raised in North Carolina before my family moved to Florida when I was in middle school. I first began working with kids during my senior year in high school as a before and after school care counselor. This experience prompted me to attend St. Petersburg College and pursue teaching as a career. I have worked with kids ever since, both here in Florida and in Colorado. This will be my eighth year in the classroom and twenty-second year working with kids overall, and I am ecstatic to begin my second year as a Middle School teacher where I will once again be teaching Math to sixth and now seventh grade students.
While working with kids is my first love, there are several things I enjoy doing in my spare time. I love to travel on road trips and have now visited forty-eight states (missing only Alaska and Hawaii). I am also an avid sports fan, particularly football (you might call it soccer), where I support Bayern Munich, baseball ( Boston Red Sox), and basketball (Charlotte Hornets). Some interesting facts are that my favorite animal is a snow leopard and that I am a pescatarian (like a vegetarian, but I eat seafood).
When I am not at work I enjoy spending time with my friends, my wife Ashley, and our two lovely cats.
